The
photo in the car (left) is the album cover from Yellowcard's "Ocean Avenue", director Dave Moseley's favourite band and a trademark in every one of his films.
Camera whirrs and loud winds while filming
meant that the original sound had to be redubbed. This includes voices,
car sounds, footsteps, and ambient noise. Not one sound in the movie was
made on the day while filming.
Blood
capsules for this film cost £5.98 (for 20, although only 4 were used).
Estimated price for petrol (needed to drive the 62.5 miles to the filming
location and back) was £7.83. Purchasing the R.E.M. song from iTunes cost
£0.79. The total budget spent specifically on this film was just £14.60.
The filming took 4 hours due to the many
stray cars driving in the distance, postponing the shot for 45 seconds at a
time.
A "Tarantino-esque" shot from
inside the boot when Dave gets the spade was shot but cut out.
